Yoga Holidays in New Zealand
It is a human need to take time out from work and schedules, to spend time in nature and reconnect with life in a simpler and more direct way.
This is the purpose of yoga and when we put this in context of holidays and other motivations for timeout, making that time productive in terms of getting to know yourself a little more deeply in context with the natural order of life is one of the most profitable things that we can do.
For people who are a little interested in yoga and meditation, spending a few days or a few weeks in an ashram gives all the benefits of a holiday plus a spiritual dimension that is often missed when holidaying with the maddening crowd.
Most of New Zealand’s larger towns and cities have yoga, meditation classes and spiritual talks but on the ashram you can bring your mind and body into focus for restoration or developing new ideas.
Should you wish to spend time in Christchurch, we have a small double room available short-term (up to 4 nights) in our suburban home. Daily activities include yoga, meditation, massage (therapy and tuition) and spiritual discussion.
We provide both Asian style non-veg and vegetarian/vegan meal options. We are conveniently located for city buses and in walking distance of the city.
Life is short and there is no guarantee of tomorrow therefore you are urged to spend your time wisely.
